Thanks to Cherry and the Instagram algorithm, I discovered Sugarbird Sweets & Teas! She posted about her teatime with friends/family, tagged the business, and I saved it for the future of places I should check out. We all have those "Save for Later" collections on our Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc. (LOL).

DECEMBER 29, 2024

I was looking for a place to hang out with my cousin for girl time so we could catch up and suggested this one and she said down! I booked a table through Open Table for outdoor seating (10:00-AM).

We did the "Afternoon Tea with Tea Sandwiches" which is $55.15 per person with 18% Gratuity included. We arrived and they greeted us, took us to our table, and explained to us how everything works. Each one of us gets to choose 1 large sconce or 2 mini sconces. Comes with mini sweets, vegetable quiche, and tea sandwiches made with Japanese milk bread.

The teas are delicious as well!

  • I went with the OLIVIA (Peppermint & Chamomile)

  • My cousin went with the KARINA (Earl Grey with notes of Vanilla).

During this visit they didn't have some teas available, and I can't remember which ones they were. I didn't ask why, but I assume because it was very early. opening hour.

FEBRUARY 9, 2025

This time around it was for friend's birthday that I suggested we should go to Sugarbird Sweets & Teas. I booked another reservation through Open Table, but this time we did something for the afternoon (1:30-PM). It was the same price $55.14/Person for the "Afternoon Tea with Tea Sandwiches".

This time around:

  • I tried their WILLOW (Rooibos, Lavender, and Berry Notes)

  • My friend had the MILA (Japanese Sencha matcha and Roasted Rice)

  • My cousin had the KARINA (Earl Grey w/notes of Vanilla).

All three teas were delicious! The blends that they have do not disappoint. You can taste the care they put into every pot that they brew.

This time around they had all teas, but certain sconces were sold out. They did advise that that is a part of the business. They can never tell what actually will sell out as it's dependent on what the customers will order the day of. They also advised that some sconces are seasonal like the pumpkin, which I did get to try in December.

SUGARBIRD SWEETS & TEAS

I definitely would recommend this place. The entire set up is cute and the owner and her team are so nice and attentive. The teas, sandwiches, sconces, sweets have all tasted delicious so far.

The business is on a corner, and the outdoor seating is very quaint and peaceful. If I lived near, I would go often for a sconce and tea with my book. I'm thinking of taking my nieces to this place. I'm sure they would enjoy this. I saw through their social that they also have birthday packages, which is such a cute idea!

If you are thinking about it, I say give it a try and let me know your thoughts!
